Driver Development Programme Terms and Conditions

  • Voucher holders only : You must take your DDP Day within one calendar year of the issue date shown on the front of the Voucher (unless otherwise agreed).

Driver Development Programme Terms and Conditions, all participants:

  • Advance booking for any particular DDP day is mandatory.
  • On arrival at the venue you will be asked to sign a Participant Declaration form declaring that you are fit and able to participate, and that you hold a current driving license which entitles you to drive in the UK.
  • For insurance reasons, no person(s) under 16 years of age will be permitted on site.
  • Strictly no pets allowed on site.
  • The site operates strict noise limits. Maximum 98db static. Vehicles that exceed this level will need to supply and use appropriate measures (silencer bungs, clamp-on silencers etc) to avoid disappointment on the day. Please contact us prior to booking if you know your vehicle exceeds the limit. Factory exhausts will be within the limits, but please check with us first if in doubt.
  • Normal road insurance does not usually cover for this type of event. It is not a track day, but an educational day. An instructor is with you at all times whilst on the activities. Check with us if you still wish to obtain cover.
  • Once I confirm your chosen date, I reserve an instructor and all facilities for the date booked;
  • In the event of cancellation, a full refund will be given if the cancellation is made more than 30 days or more prior to the event, 7-30 days prior, a 50% refund will be made and less than 7 days prior, no refund will be made, unless extreme circumstances cause the cancellation. This will be by negotiation with the organizer, Carolyn Barker.
  • Requests to move to another date: no charge is made if request is made 30 days or more prior to original date booked, 7-30 days prior 25% of fee is charged, less than 7 days prior 75% of fee is charged. 
  • Sometimes due to reasons beyond our control (e.g. adverse weather conditions) we may have to cancel or suspend the Day on safety grounds. If this happens we will make every effort to re-run the Day.
  • Drivers of cars with roll-cages MUST notify me in advance, and MUST wear a helmet complying with current British Standards.
  • No helmet is required if driving a normal road car.
  • Whilst on the course please drive with dipped headlights on at all times.
  • Please do not wander away from the area of your activity.
  • Anyone wishing to take photographs on different parts of the facility must inform the Event Manager at the beginning of the day. We will issue you with a high Visibility jacket and guide you to specifics areas.
  • Catering: Lunch and beverages are provided as part of the Programme. Special dietary requirements must be notified to us in advance.
  • Any Event must be paid for in full no later than eight weeks prior to the date of the event with a deposit paid when the booking is made. In making such payment, you authorise us to deduct any additional fees and costs incurred in relation to the booking at the appropriate time once these fees and costs are known.
  • In case of caused damage to track and/or hire car, you will be held responsible for the costs (maximum for car is Euro 4000). In the event of an accident, you are responsible to Nurburgring Gmbh for any damage to barriers or track or time lost due to closure of track. These costs can be deducted from your card without prior notice.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any bookings at our sole discretion.
  • All refunds given are at our sole discretion. Our standard cancellation policy is to credit your account with the appropriate sum based on the formula set out below. You may cancel your contract at any time prior to the commencement of the Event by giving us advanced written notice at our address referred to above PROVIDED THAT we shall be entitled to deduct from any money previously paid by you, sums based on the following scale: 45 days or more prior - 10% of full cost, 15-44 days prior - 25% of full cost, 7-14 days prior -50% of full cost, less than 7 days prior - 100% of full cost and no show - 100% of full cost.
  • If you make any alteration or amendment to your booking after the date on which the balance is due you may be charged (where appropriate) a sum equivalent to any unrecoverable costs incurred by us arising from your further alteration or amendment.
  •  There shall be no refund made by us if the Event is terminated either on the day of the Event or shortly before as a result of adverse weather or other matters which in our reasonable opinion are beyond our control provided that we will use our reasonable endeavours to arrange a replacement event at such additional costs (if applicable) as are reasonably obtainable.
